The whole of South India is abuzz over the rumour that director S. Shankar's forthcoming Tamil science fiction fiilm Endhiran would be super star Rajinikanth’s last film. But why? Because the actor has reportedly finally decided to enter politics! This speculations began after Rajinikanth did not show any interest in a sequel to the blockbuster Chandiramukhi when he was approached by director P. Vasu. Rajinikanth reportedly replied: "We’ll look into it after the release of Endhiran," sources said. Moreover, the superstar’s elder brother Sathya Narayana Rao has openly stated that the actor would probably make his entry into politics after Endhiran. For the last few weeks, Shankar has been busy shooting the climax scenes of Endhiran, starring Aishwarya Rai as heroine. National award winner Prakashraj came down hard on critics who had said that Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Sathyaraj deserved the National award more. In the midst of strong speculations over the possibilities of Tamil super star Rajinikanth’s political entry soon after the release of his ongoing science fiction film Endhiran, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Thursday welcomed the superstar to join the Congress. "He is most welcome to come. We will not put any roadblocks," Gandhi told reporters during his visit to Chennai. “Our system is open to anybody who wants to enter it as long as the person is not a criminal. The only barrier we put is the barrier of criminality. I do not think Rajinikanth is a criminal," said Rahul, whose visit to Tamil Nadu is seen as an effort to rejuvenate the party apparatus in the state and woo the youth.
